Wesson Connor Davis

Danville Wesson Connor Davis, 1, of Danville, passed away at 10:41 AM on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at OSF Sacred Heart in Danville. He was born on February 13, 2022 to Morrisa Davis and Frankie Jackson.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Remington Jackson; maternal grandparents, Connie Colvin and Morris Davis; paternal grandparents, Lori and Frank Jackson; maternal great-grandmother Gloriadean Colvin and paternal great-grandmother Barbara Radloff; maternal great-grandfather Morris Davis, Sr.; aunts, Morriah Davis, Morghan Davis, Ashten Black, and Shelby Thomas; maternal uncles, Rhyder Pate and Rhylen Davis; paternal uncles, Andie Jackson, Codie Jackson, and Jessie Jackson; great-aunts, Dana Colvin, Elizabeth Cole, and Aimee Colvin; paternal great-uncles, Christopher Davis and Donald Davis; and a slew of cousins and other family members. Wesson will also miss his special baby cousin, Jerzey Lee Nelson.

He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandfather, Percy Lee Colvin, paternal great-grandmother, Cheryl Gibson; paternal great-grandfather Thomas Radloff; and paternal great-uncle, Clarence Patterson.

Even though he was small, Wessons attitude and personality were big and he was definitely his own person! This even earned him one of his nicknames, "Mr. Yelly." His other nicknames came honestly as well. He was quick to light up a room and had many nurses falling in love with "Mr. Sweetface." Wesson never hesitated to let you know what he wanted and was very serious about his pacifier. When all else failed, he would always take comfort in his favorite movie, "Moana." Wesson was not with us for long enough, but he still managed to touch so many lives in ways that we cant imagine. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and his story.

A service to celebrate the life of Wesson Connor Davis will be held at 3 PM on Friday, March 3, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St., Danville, IL, 61834. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services. A visitation will be held from 2-3 PM prior to the service on Friday, also at Sunset in Danville.
