Danville Wayne W. Foreman, 95, of Danville passed away at 4:45 AM at North Logan Health Care in Danville, IL. Wayne was born on December 18, 1923 in Danville, IL the son of Louis and Lydia (Rediger) Foreman. He married Pansy Hawkins on June 18, 1949 in Danville and they recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.
Survivors include his wife Pansy of Danville, IL, one son, Gary Foreman of Danville, one daughter, Carolyn Galeener of Catlin, IL, two granddaughters, Stacy Littlejohn of Rockford, IL and Jennifer (Mike) Weaver of Cape Coral, FL, four great-grandchildren, Karissa Littlejohn and Brayten Wagner of Rockford, IL and Bradley and Clayton Weaver of Cape Coral, FL, as well as a special sister-in-law, Luella Potts of Springville, IN and special friends Allen and Betty Heaton of Danville, IL.
Wayne is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Lowell, Floyd and Dale Foreman.
Wayne attended Oakland Grade School and is a member of the Community Church of God in Danville, IL where he served as an Usher. He worked construction his entire life and received his 60 Year Pin as a member of the Labors Local 703.
Wayne never met a stranger and he always had a smile on his face and was gifted with a peaceful spirit. In Wayne and Pansys younger years, they enjoyed fishing on Lake Michigan, listening to gospel music, rooting for the Chicago Cubs and attending auctions. He and his wife traveled with their special friends Allen and Betty Heaton to the Grand Old Opry and enjoyed having a good laugh, hallelujah or simply enjoying a cup of coffee with each other. After Wayne retired, he enjoyed repairing bicycles in his back yard for friends and serving as a bell ringer for the Salvation Army. Wayne also loved his chihuahua "Tiny" and the kids always called him "The Gum Man" or "Waynie". Most of all, Wayne loved his family and their get-togethers and holidays and was so much fun and will be missed by so many.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, August 26, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St., Danville, Illinois 61834. Dan First will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 26, 2019 from 10:00 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Community Church of God or the Salvation Army in memory of Wayne.
