Wayne Monett

Wayne Richard Monett, age 63, of Danville died at 12:14 pm on Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at Provena Covenant Hospital in Urbana. He was born January 9, 1944 in Seattle, Washington the son of Erwin and Gladys (Lotspeich) Monett. He married Mary Geoffrion on January 9, 1979 in Aurora, CO. She survives. Wayne is also survived by two daughters: Theresa (Scott) Keith of Dowell, IL, Tracy (Jimmy) Houston of Greenfield, TN; two grandchildren: Gabriel Houston and Jamisen Keith; and numerous nieces and nephews from Washington, Wisconsin, Ohio and Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Gerald and Lyle, and one sister: Ila. Wayne graduated from Battleground, Washington High School. He joined the United States Air Force and retired after twenty two years of service. He enjoyed camping, woodworking, reading, working on his computer and NASCAR. Wayne was an avid Seattle Seahawks fan. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post #6790 in Wellton, AZ.
