Wayne Mann, 75, of Danville passed away at home at 5:31 am on May 28, 2022.

Wayne was born on February 3, 1947 the son of Wallace and Carolyn (Huckstadt) Mann in Danville, IL. He married Janice Weinrich on July 6, 1969 in Nokomis, IL and she survives.

Survivors include his wife, Janice Mann of Danville, IL, daughter-in-law, Miranda Mann of Danville, IL, two grandsons, who were his pride and joy, T.J. and Eli Mann both of Danville, IL, sister, Carol Rollins of Danville, IL, a very dear aunt, Annabelle Clark, who was like a mother to Wayne, of Danville, IL, brothers-in-law, Mark (Judy) Weinrich of Ballwin, MO and Tim (Cheryl) Weinrich of Fremont, NE, sisters-in-law Sharon (Mark) Helmkamp of Louisville, KY, Angela Kowalewsy of Woodstock, IL and Jeanine (Charlie) Consolino of St Louis, MO, as well as several special nieces, nephews, extended family and friends, especially the "ROMEOs".

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, mother and father-in-law, Reverend Karl and Lora Weinrich, sister, Peggy Liffick, uncles, Joe Mann, Bill Mann and Larry Clark, brothers-in-law, Larry Rollins and Kim Kowalewsky, and cousin, Doug Mann.

Wayne was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where he was very active in leadership roles at Immanuel. Wayne also served his country in the United States Army. At Immanuel he coached the basketball teams where they won both State and National Titles. He was also a founding member of the Lutheran Sports Association in Illinois. Wayne worked at Krupp Gerlach and Blue Cross Blue Shield. Wayne also owned and operated Vinylman. Wayne enjoyed attending all of his grandsons events. Wayne and Jan have many wonderful memories of sharing yearly trips with their grandsons to Disney. He was a lifelong and diehard Chicago Cubs fan as well as a season ticket holder.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday June 2, 2022 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1930 N Bowman Ave, Danville, IL 61832. Reverend James Yonkers will officiate. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery with Military Rites accorded by American Legion Post 210. Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 PM on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834.
