Wayne F. Mccoy

Danville Wayne F. McCoy, age 87 of Rogersville, TN passed away, Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at Holston Valley Medical Center.

Wayne was saved and born again on January 6, 2023. Wayne was formerly employed with International Card and Label, General Motors and also worked as a carpenter. He enjoyed the outdoors hunting and fishing. Wayne was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the U.S. Military. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Maxine Price McCoy; parents, George and Retha Greer McCoy; sister, Nancy Kathleen 'Kat' Barrett; brother, Raymond McCoy. He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy Johnson McCoy; daughters, Tina Spain and husband, Tom of IN, Carolyn Anderson; son, Glenn McCoy and wife, Cathy of LA; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Harold McCoy and Ellen of Rogersville, TN, Darrell McCoy and wife, Cathy of Hilton, VA, Johnny McCoy and wife, Phyllis of Rogersville, TN; sisters, Sylvia Simmons and husband, Ikey of Rogersville, TN, Gwynn McCoy; numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Rod Godley will officiate. Entombment will be in Sunset Memorial Park with Military Rites accorded by American Legion Post 210 Honor Guard. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 6, 2023 from 5-7:00 PM at the funeral home.
