DANVILLE - Warren L. Riggle, 82, of Danville, passed away at 6:00pm on Monday, May 16th, 2005, at the Danville VA Illiana Heath Care Systems. He was born on June 27th, 1923, in Bicknell, IN, the son of Lingle and Iva G. (Tolbert) Riggle. From 1943 to 1946, Warren served his country in the U.S. Army and he was awarded several medals, including the Bronze Star for Heroisms during the liberation of France during WW II. After honorably being discharged, he returned and then was united in marriage to Cleda Powell on April 3rd, 1947. She preceded him in death in May of 1993. Those who will dearly miss Warren include: his four sons, Donald (Wilma) Riggle, Raymond (Nellie) Riggle, Charles (Joyce) Riggle all of Danville, and Reverend Albert (Brenda) Riggle of Clinton, IN; his two daughters, Sharon (John) Edwards of Brocton, IL, and Ruby (Frank) Leyh of Georgetown; his brother, Albert (Sharon) Riggle of Sidell; his two sisters, Ruby Marriage of Georgetown, & Donna (Jack) Deck of Olivet; his twelve grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren; his several nieces and nephews. His parents and four brothers precede him in death. Warren worked for General Motors Foundry in Tilton and from which he retired. Warren enjoyed fishing, and camping, but he especially enjoyed spending time with his family and cherished all of his grandchildren.
