Warren L. Andersen, 85, of Danville, passed away at 10:45pm on Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at the Hawthorne Inn located in Danville. He was born on January 10, 1924, in Chicago, Ill, the son of William and Martha (Krueger) Anderson. On September 21, 1943, Warren married Ms. Evelyn Petersen. They were married for 56 years until her passing in 1999. Warren is survived by his two daughters, Catherine (and the late John) Hardison of Chicago, Donna (Bruce) Saville of Oakwood, his two grandchildren, Carrie Saville of Danville, Jennifer Hardison of Chicago, and his two great-grandchildren, Crystina, and Derek Saville. His parents, and sister, Dorothy Thompson precedes Warren in death. Warren enlisted into the United States Navy in 1942, and discharged in 1945 as a Storekeeper Second Class. After the service, Warren went into law enforcement. He was a 32-degree mason belonging to the Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of Glenview, Illinois. He enjoyed building model trains, planes, and cars, and being a Chicago Cubs Fan. Per Warrens wishes, cremation rites have been scheduled and an inurnment will take place in Chicago, Illinois at a later date. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center located at 3940 N.
