Wanda Maxine Seeley-Asprakis, age 72 of Georgetown, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Presence USMC in Danville. She was born October 30, 1942 in Paris, the daughter of Erben Eugene and Abbie (Saye) Dillon. Wanda married Dimitrios Asprakis on August 15, 2005 in Georgetown. He survives and will miss her dearly. Also surviving are her daughters, Carol (Gary) Sulfridge of Williamsburg, KY and Yanna Torry Asprakis of Montreal, Canada; ten grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, John (Carolyn) Dillon of rural Metcalf; sister, Ruth Evelyn Coulter of Georgetown; sister-in-law, Karen Dillon of Newman; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and great-great nephews; her special friend, Barbara Tolson; and her loyal companion, her cat Thomas Leo. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, David Seeley, brother, James Eugene Dillion, and brother-in-law, Jim Coulter. Wanda was a longstanding member of St. Aloysius North Arm Catholic Church in Paris. She was also a member of The Catholic Daughters of The Americas. Wanda was co-owner of Wanda's Kitchen in Georgetown along with her husband Dimitri. She was an amazing cook and there wasn't a dish she couldn't cook. Wanda enjoyed genealogy and crocheting. She never met a child she did not like. Most of all Wanda loved her family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 10:00 AM at St. Aloysius North Arm Catholic Church, 18925 E. 1350 Rd. in Paris. Father Zimmerman will officiate. Wanda will be laid to rest in St. Aloysius North Arm Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-8PM Friday, September 25, 2015 at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home in Georgetown. A rosary will be said in her name at 3:30 PM prior to the visitation at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
