Wanda Jane Johnson

Covington, Ind. - Wanda Jane Johnson, 73, formerly of Cayuga and a resident of The Waters of Covington, passed away at 9:20 a.m. EDT Monday, June 28, 2021 at The Waters of Covington.

She was born March 8, 1948 in Pittsboro, Indiana, the daughter of the late Walter C. and Hazel F. (Moler) Boswell.

Survivors include her three children: Chris (Penny) Floyd, Kimberly Crone, and Sean (Nicole) Floyd. She was also blessed with seven grandchildren: McKenzie Baptiste, Joshua Loomis, Paul Crone, Katelynn Nilsen, Branden Loomis and Dakota Floyd, and eight great-grandchildren.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husbands William Floyd and Jay Dee Johnson.

Wanda was a graduate of Spencer High School, Ivy Tech and then St. Mary of the Woods. After a cancer diagnosis and accompanying 6-week prognosis in 1975, Wanda proceeded to beat all odds and lived a long and full life.

Cremation was accorded. A Life Memorial Service will take place at a late date. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Wanda's name. DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana is assisting the family with arrangements.
