Wanda Faye Pickett

Danville - Wanda Faye Pickett, 88, of Danville, IL passed away at 4:30 pm on December 21, 2019 at Hawthorne Inn.

Wanda was born on November 26, 1931 the daughter of Fredrick and Blanche (Roderick) Rudolph in Danville, IL. She graduated from Lynch Grade School and Bismarck High School in 1949. She was employed at Bohn Aluminum Heatcraft and retired after many years of service

Wanda was married to Wayne Pickett in 1952 and he preceded her in death.

Wanda is survived by her brother, Robert H. (Sandra) Rudolph of Danville and sister, Betty Gallatin of Mokena, IL as well as several nieces and nephews.

Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Wayne and a brother-in-law, Gene Gallatin.

Wanda was a lifetime member of the community and a life member of East Park Church of Christ. She was very active in the church, enjoyed reading her Bible, being with her friends and family as well as playing cards.

A special thanks for the loving care and help from the Continuing Care Unit of Hawthorne Inn and Harbor Light Hospice.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 27, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St., Danville, Illinois 61834 with Dennis Floyd officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27, 2019 from 10:00 11:00 AM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials donations may be made to the East Park Church of Christ.
