Wallace 'Wally' Hoskins

Wallace Jay "Wally" Hoskins, 61, of Ridge Farm, passed away at 3:56pm, Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born the son of Carl J. and Bonnie Lee {Nichols} Hoskins on August 7, 1953, in Danville, IL. On April 9, 1988, he was united in marriage to Pam Wilson at First Presbyterian Church in Georgetown. She will miss him dearly. He will also be missed by: his daughters, Tammy Jean (Gamal Clark) Wilson of Danville, Erica Marie (Scott Vice) Hoskins of Georgetown, & Hayley Kay Hoskins of Ridge Farm; his grandchildren, Makenzie Wilson, Samuel Jefferson, Jaydon Jefferson, Kendall Jefferson, Jocelyn Wilson, Addison Miller, & Emberlyn Vice; his great grandchild, Trinity Jefferson, with one on the way; his siblings, Carl James "Hotsie" Hoskins of Wayne City, IL, Gregory Wayne (Samantha) Hoskins of Tilton, Linda I. (Dick) Goans of Du Quoin, IL, & Carolyn Lee "Tut" (Kenny) Wells of Danville; his mother-in-law, Shirley Bartley of Westville; and many nieces & nephews, & cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and infant son, Zachariah Hoskins. Wally was a hard worker and enjoyed working in construction. His passion was panning for gold and mining gems. He loved to go out to Arizona and look for various stones and pan for gold with family, especially with his brother, Hotsie. He also enjoyed watching westerns. Most of all, Wally loved spending time with his family. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. A celebration of Wally's life will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, August 2, 2015, at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, Georgetown, with Dustin Wells officiating. Visitation will be 11am-2pm on Sunday prior to his service at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery, Indianola.
