Waddell Judith

Judith A. Waddell, age 69, of Danville, went to be with her Lord, after a courageous battle with cancer, at 8:45 am on Monday, April 13, 2009 at her home. She was born August 3, 1939 in Danville the daughter of Glen A. and Mary Mae (Deeken) Laird. She married Thomas F. Waddell on July 4, 1995 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He survives. Judith is also survived by her children: Patrick (Gayla) Beagle LtCol USMC Retired, Leisa (Tom) Nimrick, Thomas (Beth) Waddell, Lisa (David) Splitlog, Tanya (Duane) Miller, Gaylynn (Ben) Gabbard; one brother: Glen (Marcia) Laird; eighteen grandchildren: Ryan and Nathan Beagle, Brittany and T.J. Nimrick, Colton and Dawson Abbott; Thomas R., Cory, Jessie, Michelle, and Amy Waddell, Michael Swank, Daniel and Valerie Splitlog, David Gabbard, Mathiew and Larry Woodard, August Booe, Courtney Miller; four great grandchildren; and a niece and nephew: Joseph and Niki Laird. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents and several aunts and uncles. Judith worked as a truck driver before working for Heatcraft. She retired from there in 1999. She enjoyed crocheting, reading and shopping. She liked working with ceramics. What she loved most was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Judith was a member of the Vermilion Heights Christian Church of Danville. A celebration of life service will be held for Judith Waddell at 10 am on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 pm on Friday, April 17, 2009 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be sent in Judiths name to the Carle Hospital Cancer Center.
