W. 'Bill' Butts

W. Bill Butts, 60, of Danville, passed away at 3:21p.m., Saturday February 24, 2007 at his residence. Bill was born on July 25, 1946 in Danville, the son of Emil R. and Doris M. (Gossett) Butts. He is survived by his daughter, Lori (Kevin) Herndon, grandson, Philip Andrew Herndon, sister, Monica Sue (Terry) Wilkus, several nieces and nephews, and good friends, Patricia and Ron Foster, Danny (Penny) Miller, and Tony (Linda) Estes. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Larry Dean Butts. Bill worked for the Family Dollar Store until his retirement. He was a member, present treasurer, and past trustee of Danville Moose Lodge 1001. He was also a member of the Tilton Lions Club. Bill was an avid NASCAR fan, with Jeff Gordon as his favorite driver. He enjoyed doing yard work, riding motorcycles, and shooting pool with his friends. A celebration of the life of W. Bill Butts will be at 1:00p.m., Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, with Raymie Gordon officiating. Burial will be at Rockfield Cemetery, Veedersburg, Indiana. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 27, 2007, at the funeral home with Moose Rites at 7:30p.m. Memorials may be made in Bills name to Moose Lodge 1001.
