Virlon Starr

Virlon D. Starr Virlon D. Starr, 80, of Danville passed away at Saint Vincents Hospice in Indianapolis on Saturday February 1, 2014 with family by his side. Virlon was born July 15, 1933 in Danville IL., the son of Orville and Ruth (Kagel) Starr. He married Linda Hannah on April 6th, 1957 in Danville she survives. Also surviving are two children; Tim P. Starr of Danville and Kim L. Starr of Indianapolis, IN, one brother in-law; Bill (Wilma)Hannah of Danville, and two nephews; Bill(Cindy) Hannah Jr. of Indianapolis, IN., and Erich Hannah of Covington, IN. Virlon was preceded in death by his parents Orville and Ruth Starr. He was a member of Anchor Lodge, Scottish Rites 32nd degree, Ansar Shrine Eastern IL., Shrine Club, GAO Grotto, American Legion, and Elks, he also served on the Gordan Cemetery board. Virlon was a retired farmer and retired with 49 years from the Operating Engineer Local 841. A Celebration of Virlons life will be held at 11:00am on Thursday February 6th , 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home In Danville IL. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9:30 until time of service on Thursday morning.
