Virginia was born on January 8, 1932 in Terre Haute, Vigo, Indiana, the daughter of Harley and Minnia (Allen) Greene.
She later moved to Danville, Illinois and was a graduate of Danville District #118 high school. On May 5, 1951 she married Henry Weldon Walsh in Danville, Vermilion Co., Illinois, he precedes her in death. Virginia worked as a bookkeeper for the family business of Greene Oil (Deep Rock Stations). After raising her four children, she worked for Leatrice Allen Accounting. She was a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church for over 60 years and was a member of the church choir. She taught Sunday School, tutored Reading for Adults and sang with the Sweet Adelines.
She is survived by her brother, Paul (Ethel) Allen; three daughters, Linda Walsh, Danville, Illinois, Debra (David) Cline, Champaign, Illinois, Lori Parkey, Houston, Texas, son Jeffrey (Kim) Walsh of Danville, Illinois; grandchildren, Melissa Cadle, David Walsh (Jessica), William Parkey (Claudia) of Corpus Christie, TX, Ryan Walsh (Char), Danville, IL and Meagan (Chad) Tabler from Brazil, Indiana; great grandchildren, Christian, Cairo, Davian, Adian, Dean, Wyatt, Garrett, Isabelle, Brandon, Carolyn, Elijah, Tyler, McKayla, and Kayson. She is preceded in death by her brothers, John (Ellen Mary), Jim (Emma Lou) and sister Helen Turner (Kyle) of Danville, Illinois.
