Monticello, IL- Virginia Ann Burow (Ray), 85, of Monticello, formerly of Danville, passed away at 3:55 AM on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at the Kirby Medical Center in Monticello. She was born on October 4, 1927 in Danville, the daughter of Fermer and Estella A. Anders Price. Surviving are four children, Mike (Mary Carver) Burow of FL, Sandy (Tom) Burmeister of Evansville, IN, Susie Burton of Monticello, and Paul (Cindy) Burow of Rantoul; a brother, Howard (Sandy) Price and two sisters, Viola Pepping and Ann (Harold) Holycross; grandchildren, Sean and Chris Burow, Angie Burmeister, Tisha Clark, Kim Burmeister, Lis Drebes, Lynn Bartimus, and Darian and Kaylee Burow; and eight great-grandchildren. Virginia had worked at General Electric in Danville until her retirement and had been a member of the Women's Auxiliary at Danville United Church of Christ. She loved flower gardening, bird watching, and table games. Most of all, Virginia enjoyed taking care of others. A service for Virginia will be held at 10 AM on Monday, July 22, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. Pastor Susan Shanks will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 21 from 2-4 PM, also at Sunset in Danville. In lieu of Flowers, memorials may be made to Danville United Church of Christ, Presence Covenant Hospice, the Piatt County Nursing Home, or Maple Point Supportive Living.
