Virginia Mae Cheak Virginia Mae Cheak, 73, of Danville passed away at 3:31 am on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at Vermilion Manor Nursing Home. She was born on July 28, 1934, the daughter of William and Martha Brady. Virginia graduated from Danville High School and married Richard Hamilton, with whom she had four sons. She later married Robert Cheak. Survivors of Virginia include her four sons Rick (Dinah) Hamilton of San Diego, CA, and Mark (Mary Kay) Hamilton also of San Diego, Scott (Betty) Hamilton of Bloomington, and Bill (Martha) Hamilton of St. Louis, MO, grandson Richard, four granddaughters Audri, Andrea, Meghan, and Sabrina, and great-granddaughters Morgan, Marissa, Madelynn, and Gabrielle, and lifelong friend Marilyn Pennick. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, brothers William and Jack Brady, and sister Sara Sycott. Virginia worked as an administrative assistant for several area businesses over the years and was also a member of the American Legion Womens Auxiliary. She loved her church family and friends at First Baptist Church where she was a faithful member. She enjoyed knitting, and playing the piano, but most of all, was a beloved mom and grandma. A celebration of the life of Virginia M. Cheak will be held on Tuesday, April 1st, 2008 at 1:00 pm at Sunsets Community and Life Tribute Center (Formerly Lakeside-Barrick), located at 3550 N. Vermilion St. in Danville. Family will begin to receive friends an hour prior to the service. Pastor Jerry Cummins will be officiating.
