Virginia Lee Jacobson

Champaign - Virginia (Elmore) Sibbet Jacobson passed away Thursday, Jan.18 2018 at the age of 93. She was born in Decatur, Illinois on June 3, 1924 to Floyd and Helen (Kaiser) Elmore. After moving to Thomasboro, she graduated from Rantoul High School where she was the Homecoming Queen. Virginia is preceded in death by her first loving husband John R. "Bob" Sibbet, father of their three daughters, Donna Oertel, Lynda Dalton, and Sandra Stewart. She is also preceded in death by her second husband Bob Jacobson. Virginia is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Anita Elmore, two step daughters, many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren, and dear nieces and nephew. A memorial service will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Virginia's name to the Champaign County Humane Society.
