Virginia L. Stimac, 73, of Danville, passed away at 5:30 AM, Saturday September 10th, 2011 at her residence. Virginia was born on April 26, 1938 to Roy and Mary (Rennabee) Mead in Rileysburg, IN. She married George "Ernie" Martin Stimac on April 24, 1967 in Danville. George preceded her in death in 1988. She is survived by three sons- Tony (Rosena) Stimac of Danville, Steve (Debbie) Stimac of Georgetown, Mike (Tammy) Stimac of Danville, one daughter- Stacey Stimac of New Jersey, one brother- Craig Mead, seven grandchildren- Stacey Stimac, Teresa (Chad) Spicer, Jeremy (Sara) Stimac, Stephanie (Thomas) Long, Lindsay (Eric) Light, Amy Stimac and Michael Stimac, ten great-grandchildren- Christian, Carter, Trenton, Caleb, Jaxon, Madison, Levi, Reagan, Addison and Brayden. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters. Virginia graduated from Danville High School in 1956. She worked at G.E. for several years. She was a member of Community Church of God in Danville and loved singing, painting, fishing, crocheting and most of all spending time with her cat " Mr. Wags" and family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday September 13th from 4-7 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. A funeral service will be held Wednesday the 14th at 10 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Joel Ferren officiating. Burial will take place at Springhill Cemetery in Danville following the service. Memorials may be made in Virginia's name to the Provena Cancer Center in Danville.
