Virginia L. Howard

Virginia L. Howard, 77, of Georgetown, passed away at 5:50pm, Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at her home. She was born on July 10, 1939, in Mellott, IN, the daughter of William and Littie Jane {White} Oakley. In 1965, she was united in marriage to Carl Howard until his passing on October 12, 2003. She is survived by: her children, Alan (Angie) Howard of Georgetown, Anita Conrad of Towanda, IL, and Rita (Robin) Wilder of Georgetown; her grandchildren, Jenny Peoples, Aaron Smith, Brock Smith, & Hunter Howard; and her great grandchildren, Austin Peoples, Katelyn Peoples, Keirstynne Smith, Avoree Smith, Alex Smith, & Stella Smith. She was preceded in death by: her parents and her infant daughter, Marilyn Conrad. Virginia was a member of the Olivet Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed going fishing & camping. She worked for the former Peterson-Puritan Company for 25 years. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. A celebration of Virginia's life will be held at 11:00am, Monday, May 8, 2017, at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E. West Street, Georgetown, IL, with Pastor James Blue officiating. Visitation will be held 1:00pm to 5:00pm on Sunday, May 7, 2017, at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Crown Hill Cemetery, Ridge Farm.
