Virginia L. Demotte Pribble Bowling

Kingman, Ind. -- Virginia L. DeMotte Pribble Bowling, 72, of Kingman, Indiana, while surrounded by her family, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 5 a.m. EDT Friday, October 24, 2008 at her residence in Kingman. She was born January 1, 1936 in Newport, Indiana, the daughter of the late Fred and Grace Anglemyer DeMotte. Virginia first married Chester R. Pribble who preceded her in death on December 18, 1990. She later married Roger G. Bowling on February 11, 1995 in Kingman, Indiana. He survives. Other survivors include her children, Bobby(Yumi)Pribble of Guam; Lynn(K.R.)Phillips of Decatur, Illinois; JoDell Robinson of Kingman, Indiana; Jay(Dawn)Pribble of Marshall, Indiana; Melissa(Bob)Cundiff of Danville, Illinois; Jared Bowling of Terre Haute, Indiana and a beloved adopted daughter and caregiver, Teresa Bowling of Kingman, Indiana; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; her sisters and brothers, Mary Ellen DeMotte of Silverwood, Indiana; Rosemary(Howard)Varner of Danville, Illinois; Fred DeMotte, Jr., Brenda Bracken and Marilyn(Walter)Nixon all of Silverwood, Indiana; Chuck DeMotte of Covington, Indiana and Tom(Tammy Darwish)DeMotte of Silverwoood, Indiana; several nieces and nephews. Virginia was preceded in death by three grandchildren; one sister, Beulah Mae Watson and one brother, Billy Gene DeMotte. Virginia formerly operated The Family Resturant and Pizza House for many years in Kingman, Indiana. She was also a former beautician in Kingman and worked for Indiana Homecare Plus for 15 years. She last worked at C.A.R.S. (Group Home) in Kingman before becoming ill. Virginia was a member of the Kingman Community Church and the Cayuga American Legion Auxiliary Rainbow Post #263. She was a 1953 graduate of Williamsport High School. Virginia enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her family and friends. Her family would like to extend a special Thank You to Dr. Juan Correa and his staff at the Hux Cancer Center in Terre Haute and the Southern Care Hospice for all of their support. Funeral services: 11 a.m. EDT Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at the Kingman Community Church in Kingman, Indiana; Officiating: Pastor Tim Russell; Burial: Hicks Cemetery in Perrysville, Indiana; Visitation: Monday, October 27, 2008 from 4 to 8 p.m. EDT at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church. Memorial services by the Cayuga American Legion Auxiliary at 7:30 p.m. EDT Monday, October 27, 2008 at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, C/O Mrs. J.
