Virginia Joanne Fischer

Virginia Joanne Fischer, 66, of Danville passed away on October 13, 2017 at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. She was born in East Lynn, IL on December 15, 1950 the daughter of Joseph and Katherine (Hibbs) Spann. She married Peter Fischer on April 14, 1989 and he survives. Joanne will be deeply missed by her husband, daughter, Robin Norton Dubes and granddaughters; Kayla Norton and Andrea Smith. Joanne Drove a paper route for many years, then enjoyed being a stay at home mom to her beloved dog Katie. She loved playing BINGO and being a collector of many things. She enjoyed coloring and putting together puzzles and spending time with family and friends. A celebration of Joanne's life will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 North Vermilion Danville, IL 61834 with Pastor James Blue officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM prior to the service. Entombment will be held at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family asks you to donate to Penny Boren c/o Lauhoff Employee Credit Union.
