WESTVILLE- Virginia Ann (Miller) Shaw of Westville received her Peace from our Lord on December 26, 2005 at her residence. Mrs. Shaw was born on September 11, 1920, in Danville, IL, the daughter of Percy S. and Hazel (Barger) Miller. Both precede her in death. She was married to, and raised their children with Joseph Shaw for 33 years. He preceded her in death in 1974. She later married Cloyd Gilliland, who was with her until his passing in 1998. Virginia (Jinny) is survived by: her children, Carol Ann Simpson of Nashville, TN, and Daniel Joseph Shaw of Lebanon, TN; her grandchildren, William Joseph Simpson, Christopher Allen Simpson, Carrie Morgan Cambron, and Alyssa Ashley Shaw; her great-grandchildren, William Allen Simpson, Izabella Skye and Avalon Marabelle Simpson, and Zachary Aaron Miller; and her nephew, William (Mary) Boehm; her niece, Susan (Fred) Bonacker who has been her cherished adviser for several years. She is preceded in death by her sister, Beverly (Miller) Boehm, and husband, Stuart Boehm. Jinny is loved by many great-nieces, great nephews, cousins, and a wealth of treasured friends throughout the community and across the country. Mrs. Shaw was an artist in acrylics. She loved to travel, play cards, read, and garden. Jinny belonged to the Noahs Ark Senior Center in Panama City Beach, FL, and her local Euchre Club, and Organeers. She was also a lifetime member of the Illiana Antique Car Club. Especially important since her teen years was her membership in the Sub-Deb Club, which still meets on a regular basis. She was a former member of the St. James Methodist Church in Danville and the Trinity United Methodist Church in Westville. WE LOVE HER AND MISS HER ALREADY A celebration of the life of Virginia (Jinny) Ann Shaw is scheduled for 11:00am on Thursday, December 29, 2005 at Sunset Souths Westville Chapel located at 414 S. State St. in Westville. Rev. Phil Jackson will be officiating the service. Final resting place has been chosen at Georgetown Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:30pm to 7:00pm on Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at the funeral home.
