Virginia Hodge

H. Virginia Hodge, 87 of Chrisman, IL passed away August 13, 2006 at VA Illiana Health Care Systems. She was born June 3, 1919 in Granville, Ohio daughter of Lew and Lenna Dixon (Coakley). She married Paul Hodge on February 1, 1946 in Danville. He preceded her in November on 1989. Survivors include: son: Gerald (Nancy) Hodge of Chrisman, son-in-law: William Moore of Chrisman, IL, sister: Esther Wilkin of Dayton, Oh, and four grandchildren: Justin Moore, Clint & Craig Hodge, and Dirk Moore. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, daughter: Linda Moore and three brothers. Virginia was a graduate of Granville High School and later served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, she was a dedicated mother, grandmother & homemaker. Virginia loved her flowers and enjoyed gardening. A Celebration of Virginias life will be 3:00 pm, Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at Hoult Cemetery in Chrisman, IL with Pastor Kevin Coe officiating. A private viewing will be held at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Memorials may be made to VA Illiana Health Care Systems wards 5, 6, & 8.
