Virginia Goldsbery

Virginia Pauline Goldsbery, 85, of Danville passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2008. Born in Hoopeston, IL on September 12, 1923 she was daughter of John Dutch Wesley and Anna Fay Harshman Ernst. She married John Allen Goldsbery in Hoopeston on December 4, 1944. They had three children John Jack Allen II, Patrick J., and Susan Fay. During the 1960-1970s, she worked at Danville District #118 and the Vermilion County Superintendent of Schools. In 1977 she retired to Ft. Myers, FL. She returned to Danville in 2003 to be closer to her family and friends. Virginia is survived by her son, Patrick Goldsbery of Florida and daughter, Susan (Michael) Pickering of Danville; granddaughter Jennifer Pickering (Tim Crawley) of Danville; two great grandsons Owen Michael & Cole Andrew Crawley; three nieces and a special life long friend Mary Helen (Willard) Gooden of Hoopeston. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, husband, and a son. Per her wishes, she will be cremated at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center, followed by a private service.
