Virginia Fern Deck

Urbana - Virginia Fern Deck, 95, left her earthly body at 7:58pm on Saturday August 5, 2017 at her home in Urbana, IL. Fern was born on April 11, 1922 in Brooklyn, IL to Roy and Lora (Manlove) Hoelscher. One brother, Wayne Hoelscher, of Estes Park, Colorado survives. Fern married Iva Gamble and had one daughter, Pamela Hudson (Moline, IL). She married Charles Deck and had 3 children; Deanna Johnson and Gordon Deck (Urbana, IL) and Chuck Deck (Rantoul, IL). She is survived by her children, 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Fern was preceded in death by her husband, a sister, Irene Collins, and two brothers, Earl and Glen Hoelscher. A private graveside service for family will be held on Sunday August 13, 2017 at 11:00am at East Lawn Burial Park in Urbana. Ferns's family and animals were always her greatest love.
