Virginia A. Reifsteck

Tilton- Virginia A. Reifsteck , 90, of Tilton passed away at 9:04 AM on Monday January 17, 2011 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Danville. She was born on July 1, 1920 in Chicago to Floyd H. and Mabel Kahn Blackmore. She married Elmer Reifsteck on February 2, 1947 in Danville. He survives. Also surviving are daughter-in-law Wanda Reifsteck; two sons, Ronald (Cheryl) Reifsteck and Russell (Jackie) Reifsteck; daughter Marilyn (Stephen) Frank; two brothers, Floyd (Barb) Blackmore of Richard Center, WI and Phillip Blackmore of Dolin Springs, AZ; daughter-in-law Wanda Reifsteck; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son David Reifsteck and sister Harriet Spreeman. Virginia was a teacher for 24 years, having taught for several years at Trinity Lutheran and then Potomac Grade School. She loved to read and was a member at Trinity Lutheran Church in Danville. A service to celebrate the life of Virginia Reifsteck will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Danville. Pastor Kent Tibben will officiate. Burial will follow at Craw Cemetery in Sadorus, IL. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM on Wednesday, January 19 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home, in Danville.
