Newport, Ind. -- Virginia A. Guilliams, 65, of Newport, passed away at 4:50 a.m. EDT Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at The Waters of Covington in Covington, Indiana. She was born July 17, 1944 in Danville, Illinois, the daughter of Artice A. Martin Williams and K.G. Smith. She married Orville L. Guilliams on January 4,1964 in Cayuga, Indiana. He survives. Other survivors include her children: Donna(Jim)Conrad of Newport, Indiana; Janet(Mike)Kelley of Indianapolis, Indiana and Rev. Sam(Samantha)Guilliams of Georgetown, Kentucky; her mother, Artice A. Williams of Cayuga, Indiana; her father and step mother, K.G.(Betty)Smith of Detroit, Michigan; five grandchildren, Kayla(Paul)DelValley; Sarah Kelley; Emily Kelley; Brenna Conrad and Abigail Guilliams; one brother, Dennis(Lynda)Smith of Marysville, Michigan; three step sisters, Brenda(Steve)Robertson and Cheryl Williams both of Cayuga, Indiana; Sandy Smith of Detroit, Michigan; one step brother, Kenny(Karyl)Smith of Detroit, Michigan; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her step father, Bernard Williams. Virginia worked as a legal secretary for Aukerman Law Office in Newport, Indiana. She was a 1962 graduate of Cayuga High School. Virginia was a member of the Cayuga Christian Church. She enjoyed raising flowers, singing and participating in musicals. She was very active with the Northwest Haiti Christian Mission. Virginia enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. Funeral services: 10 a.m. EDT Friday, April 23, 2010 at the Cayuga Christian Church in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Rev. Sam Guilliams and Rev. Steve Vitaniemi; Burial: Thomas Cemetery in Newport, Indiana; Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. EDT Thursday, April 22, 2010 at the Cayuga Christian Church and one hour prior to services on Friday.
