Virgil "Pete" Williams, 54, of Danville, passed away at 1:17 p.m. Tuesday, March 6th, 2012 at Gibson City Area Hospital. Pete was born on August 24th, 1957, in Watseka, the son of Virgil and Helen (Baker) Williams. He is survived by his mother- Helen Castillo of Danville; two brothers- Richard (Julie) Williams of Champaign, Illinois and Terry Williams of Danville; three sisters- Rose Williams of Manito, Illinois, Melissa Castillo and Melinda Sandlin of Iowa City, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father- Virgil Williams, step-father- Carlos Castillo, grandparents, brother- Bruce Williams and a niece- Carmen Espinoza. Pete attended Milford High School and later he attended Danville Area Community College, where he earned his Associates Degree. He owned his own printing shop, "It's Your Business", where he operated that from his home. Pete volunteered at the Danville Correctional Center, where he would conduct bible studies. He was a member of the Jehovah Witness's Kingdom Hall in Danville, where he was baptized in 1972. Pete enjoyed fishing, traveling, playing cards, taking pictures and just being with people. A Memorial Service will be held for Virgil "Pete" Williams at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 10th, 2012 at the Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall in Danville, with Brian Perkinson officiating. Per Pete's wishes he will be cremated. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, a Life Celebration Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
