Virgil S. Kelly

Virgil S. Kelly, 90, of Danville, passed away at 8:00 a.m. Friday, August 18, 2006 at North Logan Healthcare in Danville. Virgil was born on August 16, 1915 in Charleston, Illinois, the son of Carl and Jessie (Stevenson) Kelly. He is survived by one nephew- Bob (Debra) Kelly of Danville; two great-nieces- Sarah Kelly of Kansas City, Mo and Anna Kelly of Danville. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother- Robert Kelly and one cousin- Flossie Browning. Virgil graduated from Charleston High School. Virgil worked for 45 years at Star Service Station in St. Louis until he retired in 1984. He enjoyed being around his family and friends and being an investor and watching the stock market. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Charleston Mounds Cemetery in Charleston, Illinois. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center is in charge of arrangements.
