Violet M. Squires Janosek

Violet M. Squires Janosek, 82, of Danville, passed away on August 25, 2026. Violet was born on March 18, 1944, in Danville, to the late Russell and Pearl B. (Tibbs) Dolph.

Violet worked as a rural mail carrier before beginning her career as a dietary aide at Lakeview Hospital. It was at Lakeview Hospital that she met her husband, Jim. They shared 44 years together, making many wonderful memories, and were married in 1987.

Violet was a faithful servant of the Lord and spent much of her time reading her Bible. She was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church in Tilton.

Violet is survived by her husband, Jim Janosek; her children, John (Barbara) Squires, Paul Squires, Sara (Brad) Squires, and Eric (Joy) Squires; and her stepchildren, Susan Murphy, Michael Janosek, and Adam Janosek. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, LaVerne (Ed) Bean.

In addition to her parents, Violet was preceded in death by her siblings, Elizabeth VanDuyn, Teletha Hundley, Loretta Greenlee, Dorothy Tinsley, Lois Lewis, and Harold Dolph.
