Violet M. Techtow

Violet M. Techtow, 97, of Danville passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at Pleasant Meadows. She was born on March 7, 1922 the daughter of William and Cecil (Wallace) Collins. They precede her in death.

Also preceding Violet in death include her husband, Harold Techtow; a daughter, Cindy Ratcliff; a grandson, Todd Potter; and two sisters, Garnetta Swank and Daisy Keele.

Violet leaves behind a son, Tom (Cheryl) Techtow; a daughter, Judy Henk; grandchildren, Troy (Joee) Henk, Tricia Tennyson, Michael (Nancy) Henk, and Jesse Techtow; thirteen great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

Violet loved going on vacation. She enjoyed going on cruises, traveling to Florida, and going to the beach. She also enjoyed playing cards with her family and friends. Violet was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great great grandmother. She will be missed dearly.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Officiating will be Pastor Kent Tibben. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Visitation will be held the evening prior on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
