Violet L. Ames Violet "Vi" Ames, 94, of Danville, went to her heavenly home on August 1, 2015. She was born November 28, 1920 in Faribault, MN to Albert and Hildegard Teske Anderson. Vi married Ward Ames in 1938 and moved to Danville in 1957 where she supported Ward in his pursuit of starting and owning his own business, Tridan Tool, until after his death. She was a devoted wife and mother. Vi enjoyed spending time at her home in Door County, Wis. She was active in local charities and organizations in Danville, particularly, the Danville Garden Club and the Herb Group. Vi is survived by her dear children, Michael (Joanne) Ames, and Robbin (Roger) Jaklin; her cherished grandchildren, Sean (Kim) Ames, Margaret (Derek) Sandiford, Benjamin and Daniel Jaklin. She will be dearly missed by many other loved ones who celebrate that she is a peace with her Creator. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ward; parents; her siblings, and by many other dear relatives and friends. Interment will be private with family only at Sunset Memorial Park, where she will be buried next to her beloved husband, Ward, on August 8, 2015, with Reverend Ed Stone officiating the committal.
