Victoria Marie Alexis

Victoria (Highkal) Alexis of Ellisville, MO went to be with God and her many loved ones in Heaven on August 19, 2018, just 3 months before her 100th birthday. Victoria (Vicky) was one of eight children born to Helen (Israel) Highkal and George Abraham Highkal. She was raised in Passaic, NJ. She moved to Danville, IL upon marriage to Johnny G. Hicks on January 19, 1947. Johnny preceded her in death in June 1968. And on August 21, 1971 she married Andrew J. Alexis who preceded her in death on May 1, 2008. She attended the First Baptist Church of Danville and enjoyed walking, swimming and playing Euchre and Bridge. Vicky always had a smile for everyone. She moved to Ellisville, MO in 2008 where she resided until her death. She is survived by her daughter Loretta (Lori) Jean Thompson (Roger), her granddaughters Kelly Wasman (Tyler), Tracy Elam, Sarah Lipka (Jeff) and 10 great grandchildren (Alexandra, Zachary, Alexander, Jackson, Austin, Jacob, Violet, Elizabeth, Rylinn and Ailanna). She is also survived by her sister-in-law Barbara Highkal (Lloyd) and many nieces and nephews. Vicky was loved by all that knew her and she will be greatly missed. She will be interned at Sunset Cemetery in Danville, Illinois. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N Vermilion St in Danville, has been entrusted with arrangements.
