He was born on April 30 ,1945, in Lafayette, IN, to Doug and Lucille (France) Moore. He married Debbie K. Joyce on October 4, 1980, in Danville. She survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Victor Moore II of Danville, Shane (Kathy) Moore of Danville, and Joshua (Whitney) Moore of Northlake, TX; 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild; and a sister, Deb Lauzon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepmom Norma Davis, two sisters, Sharon (Glen) Smiley, Karen Partney, and a brother, Larry Moore.
After high school, Vic served his country from 1962-1966 in the United States Navy. Following his military service, he went to work for Bohn Aluminum and later worked as a truck driver for McLane Co. in Danville before retirement. He was also a dedicated member of the church family at Crossroads Christian Church in Danville.
In his free time, Vic enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and fishing or could often be found working in his vegetable garden. His family knew him as a “world class piddler and tinkerer” due to the projects he would busy himself with around the house. Vic’s family was what mattered the most to him and he especially cherished the moments he was able to spend with his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.
