Vicki Mccrone

Vicki McCrone, 70, of Georgetown, passed away at 8:55am, Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at her home. She was born to Fred and Doris {Dartnell} Seilhymer on August 17, 1952, in Danville. She was united in marriage to James Jim McCrone on June 23, 1979, until his passing on September 11, 2018. Vicki will be dearly missed by her children, Christopher (Jeaneen) McCrone, Mark (Hazel Hughey) McCrone, & Thomas (Annie) McCrone; her granddaughter, Dakota "KK" McCrone; her "step-granddaughter", Elaina Hughey; her siblings, Tom (Mary) Seilhymer, Mike (Jackie) Seilhymer, David (Sandy) Seilhymer, Evelyn Seilhymer, & John Seilhymer; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family as well as friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jim; her brother, Fred Seilhymer; and her grandson, Jonathan. Vicki loved making a home for her family. She enjoyed cooking and reading, going fishing, and watching Westerns. She loved her dog, Sissy, and cherished the time she spent taking care of her granddaughter. Vicki was known to love sitting on her porch and having huge family gatherings at her house. Her favorite times were Christmas and enjoyed being a member of the Ladys Auxiliary in Georgetown for many years. She will always be remembered by all who knew and loved her. A Memorial Celebration of Vickis life will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Georgetown, Illinois 200 E. West St. Georgetown, Illinois 61846 with Pastor James Blue officiating. Visitation will be 11:00am to 1:00pm on Saturday prior to her service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Georgetown Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given to her favorite charity, Wreaths Across America.
