Danville- Vestina L. Sine Gossett 56, of Danville left this life for her happy hunting ground at 4:40 a.m. on Sun. Dec. 22, 2013 at the Presence United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. Vestina was born Feb. 9, 1957 in Perry, OK. She was the daughter of Henry & Carol Wentz Sine Jr. Surviving are her parents; Carol and Charles Vecellio of Danville. Two sons- Christian Matthew Sine and Cody Alan Gossett both of Danville. Other survivors include her brother Harold A. “Bub” Sine of Georgetown, IL. She was preceded in death by her father and a maternal grandmother Beatrice Wentz. Vestina started her working career as a unit secretary at the Stillwater Medical Center in OK. She later moved to Danville where she was employed as a secretary for the States Attorneys Office. After working as secretary she took a career change with the City of Danville where she became a transcriptionist for the Danville Police Department working under the direction of Lt. Bob Richards. As of late, and her most recent position held was with Wagner Communications in Danville. Vestina was known by her family as a wonderful person who was beautiful, kind, and helpful to all. She was a master at computers and she enjoyed keeping her brain sharp by working on Word Search puzzles. She had a way with animals. She especially loved her kitty kat Alfie who was like another son to her. The family invites you to come share memories and stories at her Memorial Gathering from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Thursday Dec. 26th at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion in Danville. A graveside committal service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park. The family requests that you come casual as Vestina would have wanted it that way.
