Vernell 'Vic' E. Estes

Henning Vernell "Vic" E. Estes, 87, of Henning, IL passed away at 12:52 PM on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at his home with his family. He was born November 17, 1936 to Joseph and Gladys (Foote) Estes. He married Mary L. White on June 24, 1956 in Danville, IL. She survives.

Also surviving are three children, Robin Estes of Hoopeston, Joel (Patty) Estes of Florida, and Howard Estes of Ridge Farm; 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Elizabeth Hebert of Texas.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Diana and JoEllyn.

Vic went to work for Holmes Bros. as a union machinist directly out of High School. He worked there for 40 years until his retirement in 1997. He enjoyed fishing and camping, especially his yearly trips to Minnesota with his wife. Most of all Vic loved his family and spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids. He will be dearly missed.

Per his wishes, there will be no services at this time. Cremation rites have been entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St., Danville, IL 61834.
