Vernal Lewis Noggle

Vernal Lewis Noggle, 76, of rural Georgetown, IL, passed away at 10:15pm, Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on April 24, 1938, in Clinton, IN, the oldest son of Forrest and Ruth (Downs) Noggle. On August 28, 1966, he became a loving and dedicated husband to Patricia Louise Morgan of Rileysburg, IN. She will miss him dearly. He will also be greatly missed by: his sons, Steven Lewis (Tina) Noggle of Manteno, IL, & Kevin Gene (Michelle) Noggle of Georgetown, IL; his four grandchildren, Logan, Landen, Chantel, & Carter Noggle; his four brothers, Larry (Sue) Noggle of Mt. Vernon, IL, Ronald (Linda) Noggle of Georgetown, IL, Rex (Diane) Noggle of Cayuga, IN, & Edwin (Debbie) Noggle of Greenville, IL; and his sisters, Violet (Roy) Pintar of Georgetown, IL, & Diane (John) Miller of Columbus, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents. Vernal graduated from Georgetown High School Class of 1956, where he made lifelong friends. He lived and farmed in the Georgetown area all of his life. He enjoyed tending his cattle and his crops alongside his father, Forrest, and son, Kevin, for many years. Vernal was a longtime and faithful member of the Cayuga Presbyterian Church where he also served as Elder for many years, as well as serving as Sunday School teacher. He also assisted with many Church activities. Vernal never missed an activity that Steve & Kevin participated in. He was always there for his grandchildrens activities as long as he was able. He was known as a caring & giving person and was always a gentleman. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. The family would like to extend a special thank-you to Carle Hospice for all of their wonderful care they gave to Vernal and family during their time with us. A celebration of Vernals life will be held at 11:00am(EST), Monday, April 13, 2015, at Cayuga Presbyterian Church, 410 W Curtis St, Cayuga, IN, with Jack Earley officiating. Visitation will be held 2-6pm(CST), Sunday, April 12, 2015, at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, Georgetown, IL. He will be laid to rest in Forest Park Cemetery, Georgetown, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in his name to: National Parkinsons Foundation or Cayuga Presbyterian Church.
