Verna Jean Rosnett

Danville Verna Jean Rosnett, 99 of Danville passed away at 10:00 PM on April 24, 2023 at Hawthorne Inn in Danville, IL.

Jean was born on April 18, 1924 the daughter of Estel and Dorothy (Sullivan) Cox in Danville, IL, She married John Rosnett on September 22, 1951 in Danville, IL and he preceded her in death on August 9, 1990.

Jean is survived by her daughters, Patricia (Stan) Evans of Danville, IL and Pamela Green of Naples, FL, four grandchildren, Natalie (Darren) Duncan of Rossville, IL, Aaron Evans of Danville, IL, Madison (Ryelee) Green of Naples, FL and Drake Green of Peoria, IL as well as six great grandchildren, Emily, Allison, Laura, and Adam Duncan, Evie and Emma Evans.

Jean is preceded in death by her parents, husband, John, one brother, Robert Cox, one sister, Marian Hoover and son-in-law, Jeff Green.

Jean was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Danville and was retired from R&S Printing after 39 years of service. She enjoyed spending her free time cheering for the Illini Basketball Team and the St. Louis Cardinals Baseball Team and also enjoyed cooking and watching figure skating.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Matt Filicsky will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023 from 10-11:00 AM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Jeans memory to the National Hemophilia Foundation.
