Vera Toler

Vera Toler, 93, of Danville passed away at 7:45 pm on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Presence USMC in Danville. She was born on May 17, 1920 in Casey, IL, the daughter of William Henry and LuLa Belle (Huffman) Beasley. She married Leo E. Toler on November 1, 1941. He preceded her in death on December 31, 1994. She is survived by one son, Terry (Debbie) Toler of Bismarck; one daughter, Judy (Alan) Thomen of Georgetown; 6 grandchildren Mark (Amy) Toler, Marci Johnson, Eric Hutson, James Taylor, Karlee Thomen and Kerra Thomen; and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers; one sister and one grandson. Vera enjoyed planting flowers and working outside in the yard. She always welcomed a game of cards and Bingo was a favorite pastime. Vera loved to spend time with her family. A service to celebrate the life of Vera Toler will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until the time of service on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 also at Sunset in Danville. Memorials may be made to Farmers Chapel or American Cancer Society.
