Vera Talbert

Vera C. Talbert, 74, of Decatur AL. and formerly of Danville, died on Friday, June 9, 2006, at Decatur General Hospital in Decatur, Alabama. Vera was born March 22, 1932 in New Orleans, LA daughter of Allen R. and Edith G. Jenkins Price. She married Owen Talbert on July 2, 1955 and he preceded her on August 9, 1996. Surviving is a Son: Gerald Talbert of Westville, Daughters: Debra Doss (Alvin) of Pulaski, TN and Cindy Williams (Eric) of Bismarck. Brothers: Gene Price (Shirley) and Jerry Price (Gwen). Seven grandchildren: B.J., J.R., Angie, Amy, Jason, Billy Joe, & Stephen. Several Great Grandchildren. Her parents, husband, three brothers, and one sister preceded her in death. Vera was a graduate of Danville High School and was a dedicated housewife and a loving mother and grandmother. A celebration of Veras life will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday June 14, 2006 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Visitation will be from 12:30-1:30 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Danville National Cemetery.
