Vera LaMar, 92, passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at the Villas of Holly Brook Assisted Living in Danville. She was born on July 10, 1929 the daughter of Opal and Kenneth Trimble. She married Edward LaMar on December 31, 1947 in Kentucky.

Vera is preceded in death by her parents; husband, who passed on March 19, 2008; daughter, Marilyn Fisher; and brother, William Trimble.

Vera leaves behind her two children, Dan (Kelcey) LaMar and Judy (Craig) Heaton; six grandchildren, Shauna (Ryan) Werling, Tom LaMar, Ryan (Gail) Heaton, Andy (Emily) Heaton, Jason (Rebecca) Fisher, and Weston (Shannon) Fisher; seven great grandchildren; and a sister, Kay Scott.

Vera enjoyed reading and spending time with family. She especially enjoyed family gatherings and going out to eat with them. Vera worked at Woodburys Office Supplies for more than 20 years and volunteered at local hospitals for many years.

Veras family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at the Villas of Holly Brook for the wonderful care given to her.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 27, 2021, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Officiating will be Dr. Dale DeNeal. Burial will be in Sunset Springhill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Veras name to any local animal shelter of your choosing.
