Valerie White

Loving wife and mother Valerie White, 70, of Danville passed away on June 4, 2023 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. The lifelong Danville resident was born on April 9, 1953 to parents Francis and Norma Schmit. She attended and graduated from Danville High School. She married Thomas White in February of 1973, and they shared a wonderful 50 years together before her passing. For the past 16 years, Valerie had been working in the kitchen at Colonial Manor making meals for the residents.

Valerie is survived by her husband Tom White; her mother Norma Schmit; children Stephen White and Vicki (Brad) Cox; and grandchildren Zophia White, David Cox, and Thomas Cox. She is also survived by her siblings Connie, Barb, Carol, Debbie, Ramona, and Francis. She loved spending time with her family. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, June 8, 2023 from 2- 3:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, located at 3940 N. Vermilion Street in Danville.
