Valentine Kotwasinski

Valentine V.J. or Vic Kotwasinski, 79, of Danville, passed away Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009, on the day before his 80th birthday. He was born Jan. 26, 1929, in Chicago. He married Margaret Erven Zimmerman Oct. 4, 1958. She preceded him in death. His parents also preceded him in death. He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Sharon Winslow (Curt); six grandchildren: Richard Rick Dokey (Darlena), Vicki McCoy (John), Doug Dokey, Richard Rick Winslow (Vanetta), Vicky Sykes (Vic) and Cindy ONeil. Also 17 great grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren and adopted son, Grover Lappin, a close friend. He proudly served in the military and was involved in security work before his retirement. He loved his family, playing cards and playing games on the computer. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, in the Sunset Cemetery Chapel. No visitation.
