Ursula Johanna (Dreblow) Carson, 88, of Champaign passed away peacefully at 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at Accolade of Savoy. She was born in Stettin, Germany on January 16, 1936, the daughter of Paul and Gertrude Dreblow.
Ursula spent her younger years in Stettin, Germany before immigrating to the United States at the age of 16. On September 3, 1955, she married the love of her life, Robert Irving Carson Jr., and they spent 50 wonderful years together until his passing on December 23, 2006.
Ursula was a devout Christian and attended the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Champaign. She also retired from Centennial High School where she was a cook in the schools cafeteria. She was a kind and generous woman who will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting her.
Ursula is survived by her son, Ronald (Cheryl) Carson; grandchildren, Michael Carson, Jada Carson, Amy Bridges, Jordan Carson, Nichole Carson, Matthew Carson; great-grandchildren, Carolina Barnard, Sophia Carson, Miles Carson, Carson Bridges, and sister, Margot (George) Karam.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; sons, Timothy Carson, Richard Carson; brothers, Ulrich "Bruno" Dreblow, Joseph Dreblow and sister, Barbel Ramthun.
In honor of Ursulas wishes the family has called upon the care of Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center of Champaign to follow through with her cremation. Visitation to be determined through Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in August.
