Tyler Flynn

Tyler Flynn, 34, of Dewey, IL was called home unexpectedly on Dec. 25, 2023.

He was born July 10, 1989, in Urbana, a son of Mark and Mary (Cargo) Flynn. He married Viri Lopez on Nov. 2, 2019, in Dewey. She survives.

Also surviving are three children, Audria, Evelyn and Oliver, all at home in Dewey; his mother, Mary of Dewey; a brother, Cody (Desi) Flynn of Indianapolis; a nephew, Dominic Flynn of Ind.; and his maternal grandmother, Mary Cargo of Rantoul. He was preceded in death by his father; paternal grandparents, Jean and Pat Flynn; and maternal grandfather, Don Cargo.

Tyler was a 2008 graduate of Fisher High School where he wrestled (going to state) and played football. He was currently working for S&M Home Services, Fisher. He loved standup comedy, dressing for holidays and spoiling his kids. Tyler had an artistic flair, he spoke through the music he loved and loved to draw. He enjoyed sport activities with his brother and friends, fantasy football and was a big fan of the Kansas City Chiefs.

A funeral service will be held at noon on Friday at Lux Memorial Chapel, 1551 E. Grove, Rantoul. Fr. Joel Phelps will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon at Lux Memorial Chapel, just prior to the service.
