Tyler Andrew Karuzis

Tyler Andrew Karuzis, 28, of Westville passed away on August 23, 2018 at Carle Hospital in Urbana. Tyler was born on May 17, 1990 in Danville, the son of Lenny and Lisa (Chandler) Karuzis. Tyler leaves behind his parents, one sister Lexi Karuzis, who he loved and protected, his older brother Barry (Angela) Karuzis, who he admired and gave him two beautiful nieces, Addi and Brynn who he adored as well as his step niece, Jenna. His little brother Cole Karuzis, who learned his love of music and to be unapologetically himself through Tyler. His loving grandparents Robert and Shirley Sandlin of Westville, grandmother Ruth Karuzis and his beloved aunts, uncles and cousins who all adored TK. His Uncle Ryan, who he spent most of his Friday nights with, his lifelong best friend, Austin Gay, and his beautiful girlfriend Brandy Cheuvront. We take comfort in knowing Tyler is joining his great friend Jake Land, who we know is taking amazing care of him. Tyler also leaves behind his three beloved dogs, Bella, Remi, and Rufus. Tyler was full of life and lived it to the absolute fullest. He was a best friend to everyone; there wasn't a stranger in his life. He was a Graduate of Westville High School in 2008. Tyler was a member of the 2005 Final Four Tiger football team, 2006 Class 2A State Runner-up team, and 2007 Class 2A State Runner-up team. His biggest passions were Westville football, Chicago Cubs, country music, and Busch "Latte". If you were loved by Tyler, he would always have your back. He was the most loyal friend to everyone he loved. He worked for many years for Wrights Tree Service and was now a truck driver for Sygma. Tyler loved to be out with his friends, family, and his girlfriend, riding his Harley. But most of all being close with the ones he loved. Tyler was a thrill seeker, always chasing the next adventure. His charismatic personality made everyone he met feel so loved and protected.
