Troy G. Brooks

Troy G. Brooks, 43, of Georgetown, passed away at 10:54am, Sunday, December 19, 2010, at Danville Care Center. He was born on August 6, 1967, in Danville, IL, the son of Floyd Sr and Patricia {Mory} Brooks. He was first married to Julie Flanagan and later married Traci Lathrop. He is survived by: his sons, Bryan (Sarah), Brandon, & Troy Brooks, Jeffery (Mellisa), Christian, & Jessica Lathrop, & Zachary Spencer; his eight grandchildren; his brothers, Ronald, David (Sharon), Darrell, & Bobby (Robin) Brooks, Dwayne & Chris Riggle; his sisters, Laurie (Chris) Jenkins, Alice (Bruce) Shoemaker, & Amy (Brian) Collum. He was preceded in death by: his mother; two brothers; and one sister. Troy enjoyed watching NASCAR and was a fan of Dale Earnhart. He also like watching wrestling & basketball. Above of all, Troy loved being with his family. As per his familys wishes, cremation rites will be performed at Sunsets onsite crematory under the immediate direction of Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Chapel, a Life Celebration Home. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
