Troy Brown

WESTVILLE; Troy Brown, 38, of Pinckneyville, formerly of Westville, left this life at 10:53 a.m. on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at his residence in Pinckneyville. He was born August 21, 1971 in Danville, the son of Wayne Brown and Sharon Elliott. He married Terri Kay Elliott on June 4, 1993 in Danville. She survives. Other survivors include his mother, Sharon (Terry) Elliott of Westville; his father, Wayne (Carol) Brown of Rockville, Indiana; his 3 sons, Trevor, Tanner, and Treyton; 2 sisters, Shelley (Michael) Hillison of Westville and Michele Neal of Westville. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. Troy was a 1989 graduate of Westville High School. He was a coalminer, currently working for Peabody Coal Company. Troy was also a skilled craftsman and carpenter. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, coaching youth sports, and was an avid Illini fan. He was formerly a professional boxer. More then anything in his life, Troy loved to spend every moment with his three boys. They were the world to him. Funeral Services for Troy Brown will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel in Westville. Officiating will be Ron Richmond. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation: 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 8 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for the future of his children.
